The Libraries, Documentation, and Information System (SIBDI), offers two services as part of the library cooperation:

Interlibrary loan:

This service aims to the Universidad of Costa Rica community and other entities, which enables share bibliographic resources between institutions related to the SIBDI. It offers books, journals, and thesis collections; taking advantage of other resources from other information units nationwide. Nowadays it maintains contact with 100 university state public libraries, government institutions, ONG, among others.

Document delivery:

Service aimed at the university community of the University of Costa Rica and other institutions related to SIBDI, through which a document from the printed collection is partially digitized and transferred digitally. The collection of books, journals and thesis is offered.

Document delivery conditions:

• The information sent through this service is for the exclusive use of the target person or institution.
• It is offered for academic or research purposes, its sale or mass reproduction is not authorized.
• SIBDI is not responsible for misuse or use that violates current legislation.
